Historic stone and brick entrance gates at Tsinandali Estate in autumn

Tbilisi to Kakheti · September 18–21, 2027

Travel, Accommodations & Visa Guide

Everything you need for a smooth journey to Georgia, staying within the gates of the Tsinandali Estate, and preparing for September in Kakheti.

01

Arriving in Tbilisi (TBS) & The Gombori Pass

Fly into Tbilisi International Airport (TBS), served by direct routes from Europe and the Middle East (Istanbul, Doha, Dubai, Tehran) and convenient one-stop connections from North America and Asia. We warmly recommend arriving in Tsinandali on Saturday, September 18, 2027—one day before Sunday’s Welcome Dinner—so you can settle in and enjoy the estate and surrounding Kakheti region. From the airport, Tsinandali is a scenic 1 hour and 45 minute drive east over the forested Gombori Pass—please take a taxi or request a ride on Bolt (Georgia’s main rideshare app, equivalent to Uber) straight from Tbilisi Airport to the estate. For the return trip after the wedding, we will provide group bus transportation from Tsinandali Estate back to Tbilisi Airport (TBS).

02

Staying on the Tsinandali Estate

Two wonderful hotels sit directly inside the 18-hectare Tsinandali Estate gates—steps from Monday’s ceremony and Amphitheater reception, and two minutes from Sunday’s Welcome Dinner at Shumi Estate: Tsinandali Estate, A Radisson Collection Hotel and Park Hotel Tsinandali. We recommend booking your stay from Saturday, September 18 through Tuesday, September 21, 2027. Preferred room block rates will be shared upon RSVP.

03

September Weather & Attire

September in Kakheti brings warm, sunlit late-summer afternoons (24°C–27°C / 75°F–80°F) and crisp, comfortable mountain evenings (14°C–16°C / 57°F–61°F). For the Welcome Dinner at Shumi Estate, we suggest dressy vineyard cocktail attire; for the Wedding Ceremony & Amphitheater Dinner, formal or black-tie optional attire with block heels or flats suitable for garden lawns and historic stone paths.
